Similar to English language, Nepali language also consists of vowels and consonants. There are 14 vowels and 36 consonants in Nepali alphabet.

Here are the list of Nepali vowels, consonants, and numerals-

Nepali Vowels

In Nepali, vowels are known as स्वर (Swar). There are two types of vowels; dependent vowels and independent vowels. Dependent vowels are always used together with a consonant.

Independent vowels
